My lordy have I ever been slack with this blog. There is so much catching up to be done! Believe it or not, I wrote this post for Chelsea’s birthday… last year 😛 and then I forgot to ever post it! How terrible of me. And now here we are a year later, and its her birthday again! Well, I suppose better late than never right? Happy Birthday Chelsea!

Back in October the delightful Pocket Sized Vampire Pandah (Chelsea!) turned 21! For her party she organised for a group of us to go out to Just Tickled Pink for High Tea! I have been there before as you may remember from a few of my previous posts, we went for Corina’s birthday last year and for our lolita Comm Valentines day meet this year. You all know how I feel about the colour pink, so I was happy to be going back there again, plus the food is always so yummy!

I had purchased Angelic Pretty’s Whip Factory Salopette on one of the sales Comms a week prior, and was super excited when it arrived in the mail just in time for me to wear it to the party. As you can see it was just perfect for the party since not only is it pink (as most of my clothing items are) but it is also covered in adorable cakes! Taking one look at it you can see why I had to add it to my collection, pink and adorable food? I’m in!

When I first tried the whip factory on, I was surprised at how large it was around the waist. It is the first Salopette I have ever bought and worn and was concerned it wasn’t going to fit me. Thankfully with the addition of a lovely pink belt I had in my wardrobe I managed to get it to sit perfectly around my waist!

It was quite a warm day so I was reluctant to wear a wig or anything on my head. I decided to opt for something a little simple, and used my own hair with some clip in extensions to make a cute pony tail. I put two pin curls into my fringe, then finished it off with two small bow clips.

For my make up I opted for pink shaded eye shadow from my Too Faced bon bons palate, winged liner and some false lashes. Pink blush cheecks, and Jeffree Stars Doll Parts on my lips

As always, the birthday girl looked adorable in her Angelic Pretty x Disney little mermaid print dress and Jacket.

I was running a little bit late on the day, so when I walked in I was handed a non alcoholic sparkling drink, and this lovely plate of goodies was waiting for me when I sat down. As always, I went for the gluten free option which, in this instance, meant I got my own plate of treats. I think my favourite was the apple and pistachio loaf you can see on the back of the plate It was so moist and sweet, which by the look of it was quite unexpected.

As is our usual, we took a group shot of all the lolita’s together out the front of the venue. We were all in sweet, and everyone looked adorable.

Happy Birthday Chelsea! I hope you had a lovely!

Just Tickled Pink is quickly becoming one of my favourite places to go for high tea because of how delicious their allergy friendly food is. Do you have a favourite place for high tea? What makes it your favourite?

Happy Birthday to mmmeeeeee!!! yes, today is my actual birthday! But things are getting so busy at the moment that I decided to hold my birthday party a week and a half early 😛 Lolita has really become a big deal for me over the past year, as a lot of you may have noticed, so I wanted to throw a party and invite the whole community as a kind of thanks for making my life awesome.

I decided that since I had missed Britt’s 50 shades of Pink party earlier on in the year since I was away in Queensland for Dan and Jacqui’s Engagement party, I would hold the sequel 😛 and thus, my 5o Shades Pinker party was created!

I spent the better part of the day before baking up a storm, and managed to get myself a little frazzled as a few people pulled out of coming last-minute. When time came for the party to start, I was so super excited.

I decided to wear my Emily Temple Cute rose garden dress, because it is just the most amazing shade of pink, plus it is super light and just perfect for the warm spring whether we were expecting that day. I was planning to wear a blonde wig, but I just couldn’t get it to behave itself, so I ended up styling my own hair for the outfit. I am really pleased with how it turned out, plus it was much cooler in the hot weather.

Mr Tardo being the best man a girl could ask for, got up super early to make sure the garden was looking lovely and the lawns were mowed, and then even got dressed up for the party too! Doesn’t he look super adorable in his pink shirt and bow tie?! Gosh I love that guy!

Once all the girls started arriving, it was straight into the food and gossip about dream dresses we can’t afford.

It was absolutely delightful sitting outside under the porch as well. I was a little worried it might get too hot, as we have never actually had that many people over for a party before. At least not one that didn’t involve sitting in the dark playing board games 😛

It was decided that my pink room was where all the outfit shots should be. In hind sight, I wish I thought to move my ugly red washing basket from the shots! Lucky all the girls looked just beautiful anyway.

Of course at the end we all grouped together in the garden for the obligatory group photo, and even Bella decided to be in it!

My first ever party at our new(ish) house was a complete success and as a result, it looks like we are now going to be hosting the annual Lolita community Halloween Meet. I can’t wait!

As for today, i look forward to spending the day at work with some of my favourite clients, and then going out for dinner with some close friends and family tonight.

Thanks for reading!

Shaking things up at Zhivago’s!

Shaking things up at Zhivago’s!

After having a wonderful day at the Comrec 20th Anniversary Party, and then dancing my little butt of at The Swinging Spook Easy and cleaning up in the Competitions (Click to Read all about it in Part 1 and Part 2), it was time to hit the town and see my 26th birthday in with a bang. And where else would I want to do it but at Zhivago’s?

After the Halloween ball was officially over, I ran off to the change rooms to sexy it up before heading out. I thought it was a bit much heading to town with a band-aid across my nose…

I felt so super loved by how man people came out to party with me after, I never imagined that many people would want to. Plus, I don’t think this many people have ever come out for my birthday in the history of ever. So I was pretty stoked 🙂 This just goes to show how lovely swing dancers and the whole community really are. We had car load of people. So when we rocked up, I felt a little bad as I couldn’t get them all in cheap/free, as only Amanda and I have VIP cards (we go there a lot…) and could only take in a few people on them 🙁 oh well.

Here is a big picture of the group, and that wasn’t even all of us!

Once we were in we went to the bar, and on the stroke of midnight a few of us had some coffee patron shots to celebrate my aging 😛

After that, the silliness started almost straight away! 😛 There was inappropriate dancing and we even had a bit of a Jam circle going at one point!

Amanda decided that we needed a bottle of champagne, and spoiled me rotten by getting us some veuve clicquot! So naturally by the time we had made it through half we were being totally un-lady like and drinking it from the bottle 😛 Then it was off to the ladies room, because we seem in capable of going to that place without taking bathroom selfies 😛

Upon exiting the bathroom, we remembered that Zhivago’s has a photo booth. So we spent the next little while getting everyone into it for hilarious photos.

And to be honest, it all gets a little hazy from that point on 😛 But wow, what a fantastic night.
